Health and Safety Video – Sun City
Sun City is one of the premier tourist destinations in South Africa. It practically takes an army to staff and service the facilities at Sun City – as such their infrastructure is vast and requires concise health and safety information for employees and contractors. Sun City undertook massive renovations involving a great deal of construction, and to coincide with this renovation, Sound Idea Digital produced a Health & Safety video.
This video covered a detailed list of topics ranging from general administrative regulations, machinery regulations, waste disposal, to evacuation procedures and rules on the premises.
Preparing a workplace for a health and safety video takes some careful consideration. It is important to create a safe environment where employees feel comfortable participating in the video. Before getting started, make sure all equipment is functioning properly and that any hazardous materials have been properly stored away. If possible, consider doing the video outdoors where there are fewer potential hazards. Have team members review the script beforehand, so they know what to expect when it comes time to film. Finally, bring in experienced professionals to ensure everything goes smoothly and that everyone remains safe throughout the shoot.
Health and safety videos are a great tool for educating employees on how to protect themselves in the workplace. Not only do they provide important information, but they can be entertaining as well. Watching health and safety videos can help keep employees informed about potential risks at work, and may even prevent accidents from occurring. They can also help companies maintain compliance with government regulations, reducing safety liability for everyone involved.
